Deutsch: Die Herkulesgrotte ist von archรคologischer, historischer und mythologischer Bedeutung und befindet sich 14 Kilometer westlich von Tanger bei Kap Spartel im Norden von Marokko. Die Hรถhle ist zum Teil natรผrlichen Ursprungs und zum Teil durch Menschenhand entstanden, da die Berber hier Mรผhlsteine gewannen (wie in dem Bild zu erkennen), wodurch die Hรถhe wesentlich erweitert wurde. Der Name der Hรถhle erinnert an Herkules (bzw. Herakles), da dieser nach der Sage in der Hรถhle รผbernachtete, bevor er an die Lรถsung der 11. ihm gestellten Aufgabe (Pflรผcken der goldenen ร„pfel aus dem Garten der Hesperiden) ging.
English: The Caves of Hercules are of archeological, historical and mythological significance and are located 14 kilometres (9 mi) west of Tangier in Cape Spartel, in the North of Morocco. The cave is part natural and part-made, as the Berber people cut stone wheels from its walls (as you can appreciate in the image) to make millstones, expanding the cave considerably. The name is dedicated to Hercules as he is believed to have slept in the cave before doing his 11th labour, which was to get golden apples from the Hesperides Garden.

La cueva es en parte natural y en parte artificial, dado que los bereberes obtuvieron ruedas de piedra de sus paredes (tal y como se aprecia en la imagen) para hacer muelas de molinos, expandiendo asรญ la superficie de la cueva. El nombre de la cueva estรก dedicado a Hรฉrcules, pues segรบn la leyenda durmiรณ en ella antes de realizar su undรฉcima tarea, que era obtener manzanas doradas del jardรญn de las Hespรฉrides.
