This page is for finding out how to say words in Gothic; especially it is for the construction of neologisms and reconstructions (to be proposed on the talk page). All words are to be listed categorically and alphabetically by their English equivalent (since we are trying to find out how to say something and not what something means.
The status of a word will be marked in square brackets following the word itself: If the word is attested, or is attested within a compound, it will not be marked; if the word is a neologism it will be marked "[nw]" (for "new word"); if it is a reconstruction it will be marked "[rc]"; if the word is being used in a new way it will be marked "[nu]" for "new usage".
Gothic words may be written in either the Gothic alphabet (preferred) or a Romanization of the Gothic alphabet (for those who cannot type with Gothic letters)

Ethnicities, countries, and languages
[πΉπ½πΌπ°πΉπ³πΎπ°π½]Note that due to that almost all records we have of Gothic are Biblical, there are only a few names for nationality, countries, and languages recorded; and many of them are only historical nationalities, etc. It is, therefore, necessary to borrow many words for this purpose. Unless specifically marked as such, you may assume that all words in here are borrowed or reconstructed.
